≡ More. Cowbell.
Alrighty then. You’ll see that things have changed around here, in a couple of different ways.
- This new site is hosted on the same julioangelortiz.net that I have had for the past 3 years. Back in July, I felt a need for change and went back to my LiveJournal site. Most of the posts from the old site were migrated to the LiveJournal. Then over the last couple of weeks I decided to take a break from blogging and re-think how I wanted to do things. I took inspiration from Allyn Gibson, and decided to set up a revamped new blog here and have it cross-post to the LiveJournal page, allowing me to have a “best of both worlds” approach. So my LJ will be an archive of sorts, and still act as a way to keep in touch with the people I’ve befriended there. And with this iteration of Vox Bomb, I will have greater flexibility over the look, feel, and mechanics of the blog (which I missed more than I thought I would have).
- I am once again using a theme from Milo, whose skills never fail to impress me. This theme, called “Superfly,” had that a cool retro-look that I dug. Now if she’d release a theme called “Dolemite”…
- I’ve added OpenID support to the site. If you have a Blogger or LiveJournal account, then you already have an OpenID account. Just log in with the URL to your site and post a comment- it’s that easy. I’ve also retained the system where you do not need to create an ID to comment. I’m just trying to make it as easy as possible for you to share your thoughts- good or bad.
- On the menu bar, under “Vox” I’ll have my Writing and About pages, as well as some other random thoughts / off-the-wall stuff that doesn’t fit anywhere else.
Hopefully, you’ll feel the changes are good / positive, and as always, feedback is welcome.
